SJR is a metal fabrication workshop in Riga, Latvia. We've spent years building steel structures for commercial clients, and these fire pits, grills, and rocket stoves come out of exactly the same workshop, made by exactly the same hands.

SJR SIA has been a professional metal fabrication manufacturer for 13 years. Cutting, welding, forming, finishing. Full-cycle work for commercial clients who care whether a structure holds up under load and weather.
The consumer range started because our founder wanted a fire pit for his own garden and couldn't find one worth buying. Everything available was either thin sheet metal that warped after one season, or priced like a piece of sculpture.
So he made one. It worked. People asked where he got it. He made more. Today those same designs, refined over years of actually using them, are what you'll find in our shop.

Jānis has spent
25 years shaping metal.
He came up through engineering and fabrication the long way, learning what holds, what fails, and why. Two and a half decades of that leaves you with strong opinions about material thickness, weld quality, and shortcuts.
What drives his work now is a question he keeps coming back to: how do you build something genuinely well without making it cost twice what it should? The answer is rarely cheaper materials. It's better design. Fewer parts that do more work. Cutting patterns that waste less steel. Joints that are simpler to make and stronger for it.
That thinking is why our products cost what they do. We haven't thinned the steel or skipped the welds to hit a price. We've spent the time making them efficient to build, so the quality stays where it should be and you're not paying for waste.
Jānis is still in the workshop most days. He approves every design before it goes into production, and when something isn't right, it doesn't ship. That has been the rule since the first one he built for himself.

Steel is one of the most recyclable materials on earth. It can be melted down and reused indefinitely without losing its properties. Wherever it meets our standard, we work with recycled and reclaimed steel rather than newly extracted material.
But the bigger point is simpler than sourcing. A fire pit that lasts fifteen years has a fraction of the footprint of four cheap ones that don't. We'd rather sell you one good thing than four disposable ones.
